We hope you will enjoy your experience with us at Time Out for Women. Our policy regarding accessibility and accommodation is to comply with the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the guidelines outlined below. Some venues may necessitate alterations to the following general policy.
Accommodations Available without Request
Wheelchair-Accessible Seating: Accessible seating with one companion seat is available at the event without a request in advance on a first-come, first-served basis. In some cases, depending on venue seating, the companion seat may not be directly adjacent to wheelchair space.
Hearing & Visual Impairments: Large screens and audio amplification are used to project and magnify what is happening on stage so that everyone, including those with hearing and visual impairments, is able to see and hear the event. Please arrive early if you require a seat near a screen. ADA priority seating will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Mobility Restrictions and Other Health Concerns: If you have difficulty walking or standing in line, we recommend that you designate someone in your party to stand in line for you and obtain general seating for your party. If you prefer to wait in line, make sure you are in the correct line for the ADA-accessible entrance. This door will open at the same time that all other doors open. Once inside, general ADA-priority seating will be available and is first-come, first-served.
Accommodations Requiring Advanced Request
Sign Language Interpretation can be arranged if a request is made at least FOUR WEEKS PRIOR to the event. Reserved seating for the person requiring interpretation and up to three companions will be provided near the sign language interpreter(s). Depending on the number of patrons requiring interpretation, companions may not be seated directly adjacent to the requestor.
Wheelchair-Accessible Seating with 2 or 3 companion seats can be reserved if a request is made at least 1 WEEK PRIOR to the event. A reserved space for your wheelchair and 2 or 3 reserved companion seats will be provided in wheelchair-accessible areas. In some cases, depending on venue seating, companion seats may not be directly adjacent to wheelchair space.
HOW TO MAKE A REQUEST
Advance requests are only needed for assisted listening device, wheelchair-accessible seating for a group with 2 or 3 companion seats, and sign language interpretation. If your accommodation fits into these categories please click on your event city below to submit a request. Any other requests will be managed onsite. Any accommodation request must be placed 1 week prior to the event and no later than the dates noted above. Accessible seating will be made available according to the type of venue and the accommodation needed and may or may not be located in the front sections. The request itself is not a guarantee that the accommodation can be met. You will receive confirmation from our staff within 10 business days that your request can be met.
